Women Leaders Powering PMI Philippines

This Women’s Month, we celebrate the women whose leadership and service continue to shape the PMI Philippines community. Through their dedication, volunteerism, and passion for uplifting others, these leaders remind us that the strength of our community is built by people who step forward to serve. Their journeys reflect not only professional excellence, but also the heart and purpose behind leadership.

Leadership Through Service and Inclusion

For Agustina “Tina” Rodriguez, leadership extends far beyond project timelines and deliverables, it is about creating meaningful impact in both the workplace and the community.

A certified sign language interpreter since 2010 through the Philippine Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Tina has dedicated more than two decades to service and advocacy. Since 2003, she has volunteered with the Archdiocese of Manila Ministry on Persons with Disabilities, helping ensure that members of the deaf community can participate fully in faith and community life.

Her commitment to service also extends to church ministries. She serves as a Lector-Commentator at Our Lady of Peñafrancia Parish and volunteers as a sign language interpreter at St. John Bosco Parish. Through these roles, she continues to advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and dignity for all.

Tina was drawn to project management because of its ability to bring people together to achieve shared goals while encouraging continuous learning and professional growth. Within the Project Management Institute Philippines Chapter, she currently serves as Head of the Programs and Events Executive Committee and as Co-Chair of the National Summit on Project Management 2026 in Cebu City

Balancing professional responsibilities with volunteer work can be challenging, but Tina views these opportunities as a privilege to serve and inspire others. She believes that professional excellence and community service go hand in hand.

For Tina, leadership means walking alongside others, valuing every contribution, and leading with humility and respect. She is confident that women within PMI Philippines will continue to shape the future of the profession bringing compassion, resilience, and purpose into leadership.

At the heart of her journey is a simple motivation: to create positive change, bring joy to others, and continue doing good wherever she can.
