DEAR PMI PHILIPPINES,
As we reach the mid-year mark this June, it is incredible to look back at how much we have accomplished together at the PMI Philippines Chapter. We entered 2026 with a clear mission: to elevate project management advocacy, strengthen our internal governance, and deliver meaningful value to our community. Thanks to the hard work of our trustees, executive committee heads, and the volunteers who truly serve as the engine of our chapter, we are firmly on track
Our Accomplishments
Strengthened Governance - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
We successfully initiated key chapter frameworks, including our 2026 Elections Project Charter. By executing these elections with excellence, we have ensured that our chapter's leadership transition remains smooth, transparent and robust. Grew
Community Engagement - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Member connection is central to everything we do. Through member spotlights, PMI Connect, and casual PMI Happy Hour events, we continue to build a professional network that is active, visible, and genuinely engaged.
Empowered Future PM Professionals - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Our chapter has made a significant commitment to the next generation of project professionals by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two of the Philippines' leading universities:
De La Salle College of Saint Benilde and Asia Pacific College.
With global demand for skilled project management professionals projected to reach 25 million by 2030, the pipeline starts here. Through this partnership, graduates entering high-growth fields such as fintech, infrastructure, and energy will be equipped with formal project execution skills from Day One.
Sustained Educational Outreach - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
We successfully conducted the Foundations of IT Project Management training, which received excellent ratings from participants, and represented our community at the Philconstruct Technoforum
CELEBRATING THE DIVERSITY OF OUR PMI COMMUNITY

June is a remarkably vibrant month for us, offering a time to reflect on identity, independence, and leadership. I am incredibly proud that this issue features:
Pride Month Member Spotlight - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
We believe inclusivity drives innovation. Recognizing the unique perspectives of our diverse members makes our project management community stronger and more resilient.
Independence Day - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we also celebrate the growing influence of Filipino project managers on the global stage.
Father's Day - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A heartfelt salute to all the fathers and father figures in our network who masterfully balance the ultimate dual project: driving initiatives at work while guiding families at home.
These are not just June themes. They reflect the values that define how we serve as project professionals — and as people.
2026 NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON PROJECT MANAGEMENT

I close this mid-year update with an invitation. I invite you to join us at the 2026 National Symposium on Project Management (NSPM), our flagship event, this August in Cebu.
This year's theme: "From Profession to Purpose: Building the Nation Through Project Success" reflects exactly what this chapter stands for: project management as a force for national development, not just professional advancement.
The NSPM will be held on August 14-15, 2026 at Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu. For registration and agenda updates, visit www.pmi.org.ph/nspm=2026. Six months in, the momentum is real, and the best is yet to come. I look forward to seeing everyone in Cebu!
