Making AI Work For Everyone: Building A Voice For The Filipino
Dr. Charibeth Cheng is a Full Professor and Associate Dean in the College of Computer
Studies at De La Salle University. She is a co-founder of Senti AI, now part of Kollab,
and a researcher at DLSU’s Advanced Research Institute for Informatics, Computing,
and Networking. Her research on natural language processing for Filipino and its
regional languages has been recognised by Google and the Imminent Research Grant
programme, one of only five awards granted globally in 2024.
