PMI Philippines Chapter is pleased to announce the 2014 schedule of the "PROJECT MANAGEMENT FUNDAMENTALS" (PMF).

Course Description:

This fundamental course in Project Management is for Project Managers and for anyone who has worked in a project or is planning to be involved in a project. It provides an essential knowledge in project management fundamentals, methodologies and best practices.

The Project Management Fundamentals course will involve the participants through the Project Life Cycle, the five (5) project management processes, and the ten (10) Knowledge Areas that are common to any industry, whether it is architecture, construction, engineering, software development or product development. The knowledge gained in this course will add to the formal educational requirements of Project Managers who are interested to apply for the examinations leading to Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

The course includes insights from the Project Management Institute's "A Guide to the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) 5th Edition".

Project Management Professional (PMP®) Review Course 2014 Schedule


PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP® demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects.

Course Description:
This course offers terms, techniques, tips and other relevant information to prepare the participants in passing the PMP® Certification Examination based on the Fifth Edition of the PMBOK® Guide. This is NOT a Project Management Fundamental course. Specifically, participants will be prepared by highlighting important project management concepts and key information that can be expected on the test. Participants will get many opportunities to apply their knowledge through practice exams and test questions. By taking this test preparation course, participants will be equipped with the study materials and tools that are useful in reconciling participant's approach to the exam with PMI's viewpoint and perspective on the examination.

2013 Technical Session #5 - Risk Management for Project Managers

Last August 8, 2013, the Philippine Chapter of the Project Management Institute conducted the fifth technical training of 2013 for Project Managers.  The session was about Risk Management for Project Managers.  The guest speaker for the night was Mary Jane Rosales, a distinguished professional with respect to risk management.

The night started with a buffet dinner followed by the project managers evaluating themselves with respect to their risk appetite to start the session.

2013 Technical Session #4 - Amicable Dispute Resolution for Project Managers

PMI Philippines Chapter held last June 27 its 4th technical session.  Our speaker was one of our own members, Teodoro Kalaw IV, Esq., PMP, gave a brief, but information-packed overview of "Amicable Dispute Resolution for Project Managers." In his presentation, Teddy introduced the three main approaches to amicable dispute resolution, namely negotiation, facilitative, and decisional.  He delved on the different processes within each approach, and cleared up some of the common misconceptions about arbitration before closing the seminar.
