About PMI Philippines Chapter

PMI Philippines is the official country chapter of the Project Management Institute, a global organization of project management professionals headquartered in the United States dedicated to the advancement of modern Project Management.

In October 1996, the PMI Philippines Chapter was chartered in Boston Massachusetts, and was formally registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission in July, 1997. PMI Philippines is a non-profit corporation that seeks to educate its members, as well as share and exchange information with other project management practitioners.

Guided by the vision of its Founding President, the late Ruperto Kapunan, the PMI - Philippines Chapter aims to "Build Professionalism in Project Management" with the steadily growing number of Filipino practitioners though its initiatives.  

Objectives of PMI Philippines Chapter

• Foster professionalism in the management of projects
• Advance the quality and scope of project management
• Stimulate the application of project management to the benefit of the public
• Provide a recognized forum for the free exchange between institute members, of ideas, applications andsolutions to project management problems
• Identify and promote fundamentals of project management and advance the body of knowledge for managing projects successfully
• Provide and interface between users and suppliers of hardware and software systems
• Collaborate with the academe to encourage appropriate education and career development at all levels inproject management
• Maintain methods for ethics, standards, and accreditation
