COURSE DESCRIPTION

Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects.

This course offers terms, techniques, tips and other relevant information to prepare the participants in passing the PMP® Certification Examination based on the Sixth Edition of the PMBOK® Guide.  Specifically, participants will be prepared by highlighting important project management concepts and key information that can be expected on the test.  Participants will get many opportunities to apply their knowledge through practice exams and test questions.  By taking this test preparation course, participants will be equipped with the study materials and tools that are useful in reconciling participant's approach to the exam with PMI's viewpoint and perspective on the examination.

This course is NOT designed to teach fundamental project management concepts.  Participants are expected to meet the requirements below so we can focus on the testing aspects of the course which are directly tied to PMBOK® Guide 6th Edition.

Attending this course will satisfy the 35 contact hours of formal education related to project management required when applying for the PMP certification exam.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Membership to PMI and PMI Philippines Chapter is recommended.  Membership offers many advantages including free access to PMBOK® Guide 6th Edition which will be used in this course and other standards, and lower fees for PMP certification exam. ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Amin Leiman, PMP®, CISA, SDC, SMC, CPCis the Founder and President of BENDINO Premier Project Management Academy, an organizational development training firm that specializes in training project managers to successfully prepare for the PMP examination.  As an educator and inspirer, he provides proven strategies in the areas of Project Management Fundamentals, PMP Preparation Courses, and Effective Project Communication.  He is currently the PMP preparation course instructor for the Project Management Institute (PMI) Philippines.  Also, he speaks regularly at Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Conferences and Seminars most recently in the Philippines (2017), Indonesia (2016, 2015), Japan (2013), Taiwan (2012), and USA (2011).

 
Amin is the author of two books: PMP Examination Preparation Strategies (PEPS) and Karate Project Management (KPM).  KPM teaches project managers to be balanced performers through cross breeding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge with ancient karate wisdom and principles.  Amin is an active practitioner at USKL (Upland Shotokan Karate League), Upland, California, USA.  He receives his First Degree Black Belt (Shodan) in traditional Japanese traditional karate from Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation (SKIF), Tokyo, Japan. 
 
Amin is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with 25 years of IT and business experience including his 15 years in the Big Four accounting firms in the US. His project and portfolio management spans across numerous industries including nuclear plant, electric utility, banking, manufacturing, and higher education.  In 2015, he completed a Nuclear Cyber Security Assessment project at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, San Clemente, California, USA.
 
Amin received his MSBA in IT Auditing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona as well as an MBA from Thunderbird Global School of Management, Glendale, Arizona. Additionally, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University Los Angeles. Further, Amin attended Seikei University, Tokyo, Japan.
 
As an adjunct professor, he previously taught at numerous universities in the US including University of Hawaii, Manoa, Hawaii Pacific University, Woodbury University, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
