COURSE DESCRIPTION

Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects.

This course offers terms, techniques, tips and other relevant information to prepare the participants in passing the PMP® Certification Examination based on the Fifth Edition of the PMBOK® Guide.  Specifically, participants will be prepared by highlighting important project management concepts and key information that can be expected on the test.  Participants will get many opportunities to apply their knowledge through practice exams and test questions.  By taking this test preparation course, participants will be equipped with the study materials and tools that are useful in reconciling participant's approach to the exam with PMI's viewpoint and perspective on the examination.

This course is NOT designed to teach fundamental project management concepts.  Participants are expected to meet the requirements below so we can focus on the testing aspects of the course which are directly tied to PMBOK® Guide 5th Edition.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Understand the foundational concepts of Project Management
  • Understand the PMP Certification Exam Eligibility Requirements
  • Familiar with PMBOK® Guide 5th Edition
  • Should bring a laptop
  • Membership to PMI and PMI Philippines Chapter is recommended.  Membership offers many advantages including free access to PMBOK® Guide 5th Edition which will be used in this course and other standards, and lower fees for PMP certification exam. Joining the Philippines Chapter allows you to attend training and technical sessions at discounted rates and gives you the opportunity to network with other Project Managers.

 

SPECIAL NOTE ON PMBOK® 6th ED

The PMP exam is changing on March 26, 2018. If you schedule your exam on March 26 or later, you will receive an updated version of the exam that references the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition.

Anyone taking the exam prior to March 26, 2018 will receive the current version of the exam that references the PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Amin Leiman, PMP®, CISA, is the Founder and President of BENDINO-Global Institute of Intrapreneurs, an organizational development training firm that specializes in training individuals to prepare for the PMP® examination and become a better project manager. As a lecturer and trainer, he provides proven strategies to pass the PMP Preparation Courses.

Amin is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) with 25 years of IT and business experience. His project and portfolio management spans across numerous industries including nuclear plant, electric utility, banking, manufacturing, and higher education.  Last year, he worked on a Nuclear Cyber Security Assessment project at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), San Clemente, California.  Mr. Leiman received his MSBA in IT Auditing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona as well as an MBA from Thunderbird Global School of Management, Glendale, Arizona. Additionally, he obtained his bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University Los Angeles. Further, Amin attended Seikei University, Tokyo, Japan.
 
Amin is passionate about Project Management and the applications of Appreciative Inquiry in all projects.  He currently teaches and previously taught the PMP® Examination Preparation course for PMI® Philippines Chapter and PMI® Honolulu Chapter, respectively.  He is a regular speaker at PMI® Global Conferences, most recently in Indonesia (2016), Japan (2013), Taiwan (2012), and USA (2011).
