REFRAME: 2020 PMI Philippines Chapter Year-End Episode

Closing Message from the Chapter President

Good Evening to all,

On behalf of the PMI Philippines Chapter’s Board of Trustees, I would like to, first of all, extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication provided by the volunteers and Chapter office staff in making the REFRAME Year-End Episode 1 and 2 a success!  Congratulations all … it was a fun and enjoyable evening for everyone!

2020 has been a most challenging year, not only affecting each of us as individuals, but also organizations like the PMI Philippines Chapter.  In March of this year, the Board of Trustees was looking at options to ensure sustainability of PMI activities & service offerings given the new normal.  The Pandemic prevented the Chapter from conducting in-person classroom training, annual symposium and regular technical sessions due to health & safety protocols.

Through agility and adaptation to the new normal, and the hard work and support of the Trustees, volunteers and Chapter staff, the Chapter has conducted 18 online trainings in promoting project management as a priority this year, all of which, got very good feedback survey results,  3 virtual technical & roundtable sessions for the continuing education and development of its members, and even virtual networking events like this one for you, our member.

And more good news. The Chapter was pre-qualified for the 2020 Chapter of the Year Award under Category II (301 – 1500 Members).  Likewise, our past Chapter President, Ray Lamdagan, has been selected to be the PMI Region 15 Mentor, providing mentorship to PMI Chapters in the following countries – Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Pakistan.

With supportive members, passionate volunteers and the vision of the Board of Trustees, we look forward to a better 2021 as we start planning for the various activities and events and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Chapter.

We wish you & your loved ones a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Mabuhay ang PMI!

Stay safe and healthy. Thank you.

2020 Christmas and Year-End Message

To PMI Philippines Chapter Members:

On behalf of the PMI Philippines Chapter’s Board of Trustees, I would like to wish you and your family a Blessed Christmas & a Happy New Year!

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the hard work and dedication provided by our member volunteers and Chapter staff this year.

2020 has been a most challenging year for all of us in so many ways.  We had to change the way we conduct our daily lives, the way we work, the way we socialize, and the way we relate to our family, friends and peers.  For PMI Philippines Chapter, this also includes the way we interact and engage with our members and the project management community in general.  We need to prioritize and continue to provide value to the PM community in promoting the project management profession and ensure sustainability of Chapter activities, training sessions, and other service offerings.

Message from PMI Philippines Chapter President to Members

September 17, 2020
My fellow PMI Philippines Chapter Members,
In a time with a dearth of good news, I bring good tidings about our Philippines Chapter!

Your Chapter pre-qualified for the 2020 Chapter of the Year Award, under Category II (301 to 1,500 members).  The Philippines Chapter is the only country amongst the 7 countries that is part of Region 15 to pre-qualify for this award.  Region 15 is composed of the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Pakistan. The Chapter had one of the highest member retention and satisfaction ratings.

Reaching the pre-qualification stage for 2020 Chapter of the Year Award is a significant milestone as we approach our 25 years of service in promoting the Project Management profession in the country.
Thus, I enjoin the Board of Trustees in expressing our gratitude to the members and volunteers that have made their invaluable services to the organization all these years.  This milestone would not have been possible, without your contributions. By this, we are encouraged in the service to our organization. Exciting times are up ahead. Be part of it.
