Project Coordinator

The Project Management Institute (PMI) Philippines Chapter, is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator who can manage a project from initiation to completion. The successful candidate for this position will be able to utilize project data to achieve success in securing passage of the chapter’s key initiatives.  The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager and work together to assess needs, carry out strategic objectives, promote awareness and importance of chapter initiatives, meet and interact with members to influence participation, and prepare summary reports for management. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual that can ensure that each task and activity directly ties to the success of key initiatives, project is completed on time, and at or under budget.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating creation/execution of proxy drives to ensure participation and submission of proxys.
  • Liaising with Chapter members in key companies to promote initiative awareness and proxy completion.
  • Maintain the excitement and motivation levels of members towards the key initiatives.
  • Ensure the data entry, maintenance, and accuracy of the proxy database.
  • Provide communication and project updates to stakeholders through established communication channels.
  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
  • Help prepare budget
  • Analyze risks and opportunities
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
  • Monitor compliance to all appropriate legal procedures tied to the key chapter initiatives
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic understanding of Project Management principles
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  • An ability to prepare and interpret Excel data, and step-by-step action plans
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
  • Ability to work independently with minimal managerial supervision
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
 

ADDITIONAL NOTES

This is a full-time, project-based position based in Manila.  Some travel may be required.  Applicants outside of Manila can be considered subject to meeting the prescribed relocation costs and conditions.
